D.L. Chance

Born on ancestral South Carolina homelands, Don (D.L.) Chance grew up all over; from Montana to New Mexico to Michigan to Alabama to Arizona, where his father, a minister, often served as a missionary on Indian reservations. Fifteen years into a satisfying music career that also included stints as a film actor and big-and-tall model, Don - a voracious lifelong reader - added the journalism of his college days to his creative pursuits when he became a music journalist, then a general assignments reporter. Newspaper reporting eventually led him into fiction, and revisiting the stories of the colorful people he knew growing up.
